CORONA VIRUS UPDATE SANIBEL ISLAND
We are thrilled to welcome you back to Casa Ybel Resort. The safety and welfare of our guests and team members are of paramount importance. To this end, we are implementing important procedures and practices and are following recommendations from the CDC in order to provide you with a safe and enjoyable resort experience. We’ve also taken the SanCap Safe Pledge and, along with other area businesses, have instituted important guidelines with your health and comfort in mind as you visit our beautiful sanctuary island. CURRENT GOVERNMENTAL RESTRICTIONS
June 2, 2020 update: Reservations and check-ins are now permitted from all Florida counties. Reservations will not be permitted nor new guests accepted for check-in from areas identified by the Governor of Florida as high-risk (currently Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. Areas may be added or deleted based upon further Executive Orders by the Governor.) Reservations may not be accepted from international travelers. Adherence to CDC guidelines on face coverings must be followed. The resort will operate in compliance with all state, county and local restrictions and guidelines.
GUEST CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT AND LOBBY PROCEDURES
When checking in, we ask that only one member of your party come to the front desk while the remainder of your party stays outside or in your vehicle. We request that you wear a mask and practice social distancing while in the lobby (and any indoor resort common area); six foot intervals will be marked off for your convenience. A plexi partition will separate guests from team members, key cards will be sanitized, and guests will handle their own credit card transaction. Guests are encouraged to check out remotely and may request their bill to be emailed to them prior to checkout so that all charges may be reviewed.
HOUSEKEEPING
All housekeeping staff wear masks and gloves. New gloves, cleaning wipes and microfiber mop pads will be used when entering a new unit. Each unit will be fully cleaned and sanitized prior to your arrival. At this time, regular housekeeping service may not be offered during your stay, however if you are in need of anything please dial 0 to have the item(s) delivered to your room.
Cleaning procedures and cleaning solutions follow CDC approved guidelines and recommendations. Units will receive thorough cleaning with extra attention paid to high touch areas; special cleaning products will be used. A housekeeping supervisor will inspect each unit prior to check-in.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICES
All staff, both in preparation and service, adhere to strict precautions and will wear masks and gloves. Single use menus will be used. In-restaurant and outdoor dining will adhere to governmental guidelines and social distancing and reduced capacity orders. Table service will be available but seating at the bar will not be permitted. A take-away service line will be available at the Coconuts bar counter. Enhanced cleaning procedures are in effect and include sanitizing chairs and tables between parties. No parties larger than ten may be seated together.
PUBLIC SPACES
Public areas and restrooms are cleaned frequently with special attention paid to high-touch areas. Hand sanitizers are placed around the resort for your convenience. Pool chairs, beach chairs and cabanas will be set up to comply with social distancing. Please limit your grouping to immediate family members of no more than ten. When using the hot tub, please follow social distancing guidelines and limit use to one family at a time.
TEAM MEMBERS
All team members have undergone training concerning COVID safety, health and sanitization as well as social distancing.
