Casa Ybel Resorts rest on thirty acres of the Gulf of Mexico. There are 114 one and two bedroom condominiums, all with gulf views. There are tennis courts, an olympic sized pool, kayak and hobie cat rentals, and beach service. Casa Ybel is a family-oriented resort. It has received awards such as the RCI Gold Crown 2001, Interval International 5 Star Award 2001, and was chosen as one of the Top 20 Family Destinations by Travel and Leisure Magazine.

Casa Ybel Recreation hires 4 - 5 from universities all over the US. There are positions available for spring and summer. Intern responsibilities include planning and implementing a variety of children's activities, from three hour camps to 30 minute crafts. Recreation staff oversee the pool and hot tub areas. Interns are responsible for calculating daily participation and financial totals; interns handle room charges and cash. Other responsibilities could include special event planning, holiday events and new program development. Interns will be required to complete a special project. Intern hours are between 40 - 45 per week, depending on resort occupancy. Interns must provide their own transportation.

Interns receive a taxed stipend of $270.00 to $300.00 bi-weekly and reside in an apartment in Fort Myers. The apartment is fully furnished and resort pays for the local phone, cable television, water and sewer, and electricity up to $100.00. Interns are required to pay a housing deposit which will be refunded if nothing is broken or damaged. The apartment complex has a pool, tennis courts, and a hot tub.
